ABSTRACT Nowadays in small scale businesses Inventory maintenance and the balance sheet management is done only through papers .Inventory Management System (IMS) is a piece of software that assists enterprises that run hardware stores in keeping track of sales and purchases. This project streamlines the process by streamline eliminating paperwork, human errors, and manual delays. The Inventory Management System will be able to monitor sales and available inventory, as well as inform shop owners when it's time to reorder and how much to buy. Inventory Management System is a Mobile application that focuses on inventory control and creates the various necessary reports for maintaining profit and losses. Both profit/losses and remaining stocks can be managed together by anyone with just a mobile phone even at any scale of business. Keywords: Inventory Management System, Cloud backup, Mobile application, Balance sheet information, Real time updation using cloud computing. I. INTRODUCTION Inventory management system (IMS) is a mobile application that allows small-scale vendors to keep track of their surviving stock and balance sheets. Because there are so many stocks in inventory, manual labour is more complex and prone to human error. It's still tricky to keep track of the inventory's available stocks. A separate accountant is also required for calculating profit and loss based on sales. Large-scale vendors can do it, but small-scale vendors cannot. Because many small-scale suppliers do not have a dedicated computer for inventory management, our inventory management software was created as a mobile application to address this issue. Many small businesses in India do not have access to computers. Due to a lack of personal computers, a desktop application cannot be useful for economically capped sellers. As a result, as a mobile application, it can be useful in resolving many small-scale vendor issues across the world. It will be extremely beneficial, particularly in countries like India. Data can be updated in real time because we've integrated cloud computing into our application. As a result, different users can access our inventory management system application at the same time. One of the biggest disadvantages in paperwork is storing data in a safer way. As it is a digital application it is very easy to store and recover data by using cloud storage. www.irjmets.com @International Research Journal of Modernization in Engineering, Technology and Science [1753] e-ISSN: 2582-5208 International Research Journal of Modernization in Engineering Technology and Science Volume:03/Issue:03/March-2021 Impact Factor- 5.354 www.irjmets.com We've built a profile-based system into our app, so even a single user can manage multiple businesses by creating multiple profiles. We introduced user access control since it is a cloud-based application, so apart from admin users, other users cannot access all data. As a result, data security is preserved. The inventory management methodology is more effective in determining the optimal inventory level and solving problems such as safety stock and lead time. In response to the growing challenges faced by most small scale vendors, inventory management has become highly established. II. METHODOLOGIES IN INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM A. EXISTING METHODS Small scale vendors face problems managing the stocks and storing the data. Physically maintaining data is tiresome and at times hard for back-up or retrieval of data. To maintain the huge stocks in a notebook is out of time and more importantly are prone to various damages. Inventory costs have a significant effect on the firm's profitability and success. The identification of key success factors and making the right choices at the right time are essential for inventory management and optimised decisions. In order to improve the outcome of the inventory function in a volatile market environment, it is important to concentrate on decision-making and the factors that influence decision-making. The survey method would shed light on the factors, which contain a great deal of skewed data. The use of scientific techniques to test the factors' impact on inventory decisions should help to increase the reliability of the factors used as key variables in decision making. As a result, the current study focuses on two dimensions: identifying factors impacting inventory optimization among small scale vendors, using a structured and unstructured questionnaire, grouping them into two sets as internal and external variables, and optimising the information for adequate decision-making. www.irjmets.com @International Research Journal of Modernization in Engineering, Technology and Science [1754] e-ISSN: 2582-5208 International Research Journal of Modernization in Engineering Technology and Science Volume:03/Issue:03/March-2021 Impact Factor- 5.354 www.irjmets.com B. PROPOSED METHOD ● Users can handle their balance sheets in the application in a secure and convenient manner since the application performs all of the calculations. ● Hard copies of data are vulnerable to physical harm, and restoring them is a time-consuming operation. To address this issue, we introduced a cloud backup solution, which allows us to access data from any device at any time. ● Calculation of profit and loss by hand is a time consuming process in order to solve this problem, our framework will perform the calculations for the user. ● It is important to keep track of commodity prices in order to maintain steady growth in a market, but this is not an easy task. It's simple to keep track of product prices now that we've introduced a price timeline function. ● Due to the integration of cloud computing technologies into our framework, multiple workers can access and update data in real time. ● Even though cloud storage technologies are used in our project, the data is still stored locally on the computer, allowing you to access the data even if your network connectivity is weak. ● Since it's a smart phone application, it's portable, and you can keep track of your business from anywhere. III. MODULES IN INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM A. AUTHORIZATION MODULE The authorization module is in charge of user login and account registration. Through using Google Login, all of our application's login operations are managed by Google Cloud Console, which also provides a security token. B. IN MODULE Input activity comes under IN MODULE. In module handles all the data entered by the user and saves it in the database. www.irjmets.com @International Research Journal of Modernization in Engineering, Technology and Science [1755] e-ISSN: 2582-5208 International Research Journal of Modernization in Engineering Technology and Science Volume:03/Issue:03/March-2021 Impact Factor- 5.354 www.irjmets.com C. OUT MODULE Output activity comes under OUT MODULE. The Out module handles displaying all the saved data to the user through Out activity. D. CAL MODULE Cal Activity comes under CAL MODULE. All the codes necessary for calculation of data comes under the cal module. E. DB MODULE DB MODULE is responsible for storing the data in both local databases and backing up to the cloud storage. DB MODULE internally contains two sub-modules: BACKUP MODULE and RESTORE MODULE. IV. RESULT AND DISCUSSION The inventory management system is a mobile application that uses Oauth for authentication, SQ lite for database, cloud computing for real-time updates, and cloud storage for data backup and recovery. In light of the mobile application, this paper raises an alert about the bill's information portion. It's a simple smart phone application that connects to the cloud so that information can be refreshed in the store for confirmation. It's a safe programme that ensures no details from the stockroom leaks out. Furthermore, it gives the one table an organized appearance so that we know what we sold at the end of the month. This usually entails adding the production of freshly purchased products to inventory totals while deducting the most recently sold goods to buyers. The current study's next step would be to put the results of demand forecasts, safety stock, and reorder points into simulation software to get www.irjmets.com @International Research Journal of Modernization in Engineering, Technology and Science [1756]
