                             This management plan has been prepared by the B.C. Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural 
                             Resource Operations as advice to the responsible jurisdiction and organizations that may be 
                             involved in managing Grey Wolves in British Columbia.  
                              
                             This document identifies the management actions that are deemed necessary, based on the best 
                             available scientific information, to manage Grey Wolf populations in British Columbia. 
                             Management actions to achieve the goals and objectives identified herein are subject to the 
                             priorities and budgetary constraints of participatory agencies and organizations. Recommendations 
                             provided in the plan will be used by the B.C. Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource 
                             Operations and the B.C. Ministry of Environment to guide the development of new, or modification 
                             of existing, provincial policies and procedures. While the recommendations herein are based on the 
                             best available science and expert judgment of the writers and reviewers, policy considerations may 
                             modify these recommendations, while respecting their intent, to address social and economic 
                             objectives in Grey Wolf management. These goals, objectives, and management actions may be 
                             modified in the future to accommodate new objectives and findings. 
                              
                             Success in the management and conservation of this species depends on the commitment and 
                             cooperation of many different constituencies that may be involved in implementing the directions
