STANDARDIZED NUTRITION CARE PROCESS IN TUBERCULOSIS PATIENTS WITH DIABETES MELLITUS TYPE II 1 2 3 Devi Waryan Kurniawati , Isti Suryani , Idi Setiyobroto Department of Nutrition Health Polytechnic Yogyakarta, St. Tata Bumi No.3 Banyuraden, Gamping Sleman, Yogyakarta (Email: waryankurnia@gmail.com) ABSTRACT Background : Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which affects the lungs. Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a risk factor for TB and can affect the presence of disease and response to treatment. DM is defined as a chronic metabolic disorder with multi etiology characterized by high levels of blood sugar accompanied by impaired carbohydrate, lipid and protein metabolism as a result of insulin function insufficiency. In Dr. Moewardi Hospital at the laboratory examination service there were 310 cases of TB and DM, becoming the top 10 diseases that were hospitalized. Management of appropriate nutritional care is needed to maintain optimal nutritional status, prevent disease severity and accelerated healing. Objective : To describe the implementation of PAGT in Tuberculosis patients with Diabetes Mellitus Type II Method : Case study. The location of the study at Dr. Moewardi Surakarta Hospital. Research subjects were one patients with criteria. Primary data obtained from measurements and interviews with respondents, while secondary data obtained from medical records. Results : Nutritional assessment of anthropometric data of patients has underweight (malnutrition) status. Biochemical data obtained high blood glucose and low Hb, physical/clinical data obtained by normal blood pressure and dietary history are known that patients has bad eating habits. Nutritional diagnosis includes the domain of intake, clinical and behavior, nutritional interventions applied based on nutritional diagnosis problems, monitoring and evaluation related to biochemical data, physical/clinical and patients food intake. Conclusion : From the results of the study it can be seen that patients has malnutrition status, high blood glucose and low Hb, based on the implementation of evaluation monitoring, the patients`s food intake has increased. Tata Bumi No.3 Banyuraden, Gamping Sleman, Yogyakarta (Email : waryankurnia@gmail.com) ABSTRAK Latar Belakang : Tuberkulosis (TB) adalah penyakit yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Mycobacterium tuberculosis, yang mempengaruhi paru-paru. Diabetes mellitus (DM) merupakan faktor resiko TB dan dapat mempengaruhi keberadaan penyakit serta respon terhadap pengobatan. DM didefinisikan sebagai gangguan metabolisme kronis dengan multi etiologi yang ditandai dengan tingginya kadar gula darah disertai dengan gangguan metabolisme karbohidrat, lipid dan protein sebagai akibat dari insufisiensi fungsi insulin. Di RSUD Dr. Moewardi pada pelayanan pemeriksaan laboratorium terdapat 310 kasus TB dan DM menjadi 10 besar penyakit yang mejalani rawat inap. Penatalaksanaan asuhan gizi yang tepat diperlukan guna mempertahakan status gizi yang optimal, mencegah keparahan penyakit dan mempercepat penyembuhan. Tujuan : Mendekripsikan pelaksanaan PAGT pada pasien Tuberkulosis dengan Diabetes Mellitus Type II Metode : Studi kasus. Lokasi penelitian di RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. Subyek penelitian satu pasien dengan kriteria. Data primer diperoleh dari pengukuran dan wawancara dengan responden, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari rekam medis. Hasil : Assessment gizi data antropometri pasien memiliki status gizi buruk. Data biokimia diperoleh glukosa darah tinggi dan Hb rendah, data fisik/klinis diperoleh tekanan darah normal dan riwayat makan diketahui memiliki kebiasaan makan kurang baik. Diagnosis gizi meliputi domain asupan, klinis dan behavior, intervensi gizi diterapkan berdasarkan permasalahan diagnosis gizi, monitoring dan evaluasi berkaitan dengan data biokimia, fisik/klinis dan asupan makan pasien. Kesimpulan : Dari hasil penelitian dapat diketahui pasien memiliki status gizi buruk, glukosa darah tinggi serta Hb rendah, berdasarkan pelaksanaan monitoring evaluasi, asupan makanan pasien mengalami peningkatan.
